Germany has already released all of their tickets for the Men’s World Championship and now Denmark follow suit. July 2nd the remaining – and very large – portion of tickets for the Danish venues will be available via the official website www.handball19.com in collaboration with Ticketmaster in Denmark and CTS Eventim in Germany. If you want to witness world class handball, now is the time to buy your tickets.

After the draw on June 25th the full schedule for the preliminary round will be known. This means that by July 2nd when the remaining tickets are released you will know exactly which day your favorite team is playing.

The Men’s World Championship is jump-started on January 10th in the Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin where Germany is playing the opening match. On the same day, the Danish team play the first handball match ever in the Royal Arena, Copenhagen. The rest of the Danish matches will be played in Jyske Bank Boxen, Herning, and the German team will play their matches in the preliminary round in the Mercedes-Benz Arena, Berlin and the main round matches in the Lanxess Arena in Cologne.

The match days of both Germany and Denmark will be the 12th, 14th, 15th and 17th of January. If the teams qualify for the main round, you can watch them play on the 19th, 21st and 23rd of January.

The semifinals are played on January 25th in Hamburg’s Barclaycard Arena and the finals in the Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning on January 27th.

About the venues

When the World Championship is carried out in Denmark and Germany in January 2019, world class men’s handball is available in six different arenas. In Germany, Group A (with Germany) is staged in the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin and Group B is played in Olympiahalle in Munich. In Denmark, where Sport Event Denmark is a partner, Group C (with Denmark) is hosted in Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning, where also one main round and the final are played. Group D is played in the Royal Arena in Copenhagen. The second main round is played in LANXESS Arena in Cologne. The semifinals are staged in Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg.
