I. General

The use of our website shall generally be possible without providing personal information. When accessing the individual pages, only access data (such as browser type and access time) is transferred to our servers. This access data does not contain any personal information and does not allow any conclusions to an identifiable person. In particular, the access data will not be used to create user profiles. It shall solely be used for statistical evaluation and to optimize the use of our website.

II. Use of personal data

We will only use personal data, if it is provided to us voluntarily. This is required, if you have an inquiry. Personal data will only be collected to the extent of what is required for concluding a contract or supplying a service. Any regulations related to tax or commercial law that may require longer storage periods, shall remain unaffected.

III. Disclosure of personal data

Personal data is only disclosed without separate consent to an extent that is required for possible conclusions of contracts. If documents are sent via mail, we will submit the required personal data (name and address) to the assigned carrier. There will be no further disclosure of personal data, unless we are required to do so due to court decisions or by law.

IV. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. In case of activation of the IP anonymization, Google will truncate/anonymize the last octet of the IP address for Member States of the European Union as well as for other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address is sent to and shortened by Google servers in the USA. On behalf of the website provider Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website provider. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. V. SOCIAL MEDIA

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR COMPETITIONS

Who can participate: The competition is open to anyone over the age of 13, except employees of Dansk Håndbold Forbund, Deutscher Handballbund and International Handball Federation, their families and others related to these organizations.

How to participate: To participate in the competition and win two tickets, you must react to the Facebook post by using the reactions associated with the Facebook post or comment the right answer on the Facebook post. We will write on the Facebook post how to enter each individual competition.

Winner announcement: One winner will be chosen randomly from amongst all reactions or correct answers on Facebook. The winner will be alerted by being tagged in the commentary and encouraged to write a private message to Men's Handball World Championship 2019 with their e-mail address, or if Men's Handball World Championship 2019 sends a direct message to the winners via Facebook. In case the winners do not respond to Men's Handball World Championship 2019's approach within 72 hours the prize will go to another participant.

Prize: The prizes are not redeemable for cash, nor can they be exchanged for any other products or services.

Use of Personal Data: By entering the competition you accept registration of your name and other necessary contact information on Facebook and e-mail. Necessary contact information include name and e-mail. The contact information will exclusively be used for tagging/contacting the competitions winner through Facebook and e-mail. All personal data that’s assigned when entering the competition will be safe and only distributed by Men’s Handball World Championship 2019. Men’s Handball World Championship 2019 will at no point sell or pass on personal data, which will be deleted after the winner is found and contacted.

Rights and Responsibilities

§ Men’s Handball World Championship 2019 is not responsible for possible typographical errors and unintentional misunderstandings in regard to the competition.

§ If cheating is suspected, Men’s Handball World Championship 2019 has the right to exclude participants without warning.

§ Men’s Handball World Championship 2019 has the right to remove inappropriate content in regard to the competition on Men’s Handball World Championship 2019 Facebook page.

§ By entering the competition you accept the terms and conditions listed above.

2. Purpose and legal basis for data processing

We process your personal data in compliance with the data protection regulations from the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG 2018), the Danish Data Protection Act (DK: “Databeskyttelsesloven”) and further relevant legal bases. Your personal data will solely be collected, processed and stored for the purposes stated here. Your data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent and will be treated in strictest confidence. If we have been granted permission to process personal data for specific purposes stated above, this processing is lawful based on the permission. This consent can be withdrawn at any time. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of the data processed before its withdrawal. Pursuant to Art. 21 (4) in conjunction with (1) and (2) GDPR, you shall have the right to object at any time to the processing of relevant personal data.

Purpose:

  • Use for the accreditation process of the event

  • Answering your inquiries to us, also in a feedback form, via e-mail, phone or fax

  • Only for media representatives: sending e-mails with important information on the event such as news, media releases and press releases.

3. Recipients or categories of recipients of personal data

In order to meet our contractual and legal obligations, your data is partly processed by employees of the organization committee, external service providers, authorities, partners and also sponsors of DHB and DHF as part of the 26th IHF Men’s Handball World Championship. We shall also reserve the right to forward your data to prosecutorial authorities pursuant to the laws and regulations of the guest nation(s) in order to perform the security controls required.

4. Duration of data storage

We store your data during the establishment and execution of the business relationship (purpose of processing). After the business relationship (absence of the purpose of processing) has ended, personal data will be deleted. There are various statutory retention periods of up to ten years for which the data is not deleted, but stored. It is also possible that data is stored for the purpose of enforcing, performing or defending legal claims. After the end of the statutory retention periods, the data is completely deleted.

5. Data protection rights for data subjects

Any data subjects have the right to access pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR, the right to correct their data pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR, the right to delete pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR, the right to limit the processing of their data pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR and the right to transfer data pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR. Data subjects also shall have the right to object, on grounds relating to his or her particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning him or her pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR.

They have the possibility to address a supervisory authority in order to exercise the right to lodge a complaint. Pursuant to Art. 63 GDPR, the consistency mechanism shall apply due to the collaboration of Germany and Denmark. 6. Data transfer to a third country or to an international organization

Data will be transferred between Germany and Denmark and the International Handball Federation, with its headquarters in Switzerland, as part of the organization committee of the 26th IHF Men’s Handball World Championship.

 

7. Voluntary nature and obligation to provide information of personal data

As part of our business relationship, that personal data is to be made available, which is required for commencing and exercising a business relationship and for fulfilling the related contractual and honorary obligations or for which we are legally obliged to collect. Without this data, we shall not be able to conclude or perform an agreement. If an entry can be made on a voluntary basis, we have indicated this option in the respective data entry form. You may revoke the processing of personal data based on consents for the future at all times by mail or email.

8. Automated decision-making, performing a profiling
